Need Inspiration?

If you ever need inspiration for a story or have a writer's block, try one of these methods to get your brain working again:

1) Make a list of rhyming words in order to stir your creativity. For example:

Alone

Phone

Stone

Own

Cone

Loan

Groan

Moan

(I could probably think of more, you should make yours longer).

Then organize it in groups according to word formats:

--Alone, phone, stone, cone all end with one (although they don't rhyme with the word 'one'... damn you, English)

--Own

--Loan, groan, moan

2) Find some writing prompts online (try these: https://plus.google.com/u/0/110859452296953747904/posts/djcdzqyjYu5, https://plus.google.com/u/0/108500607647183319840/posts/1tvPYNzZLef) and write a short story

3) This collection in general: https://plus.google.com/u/0/collection/05oIcB

4) Read others' work and try to write something based off that (don't copy, though. Create your own place with an idea inspired by the original piece).

5) Imagine a character and describe them in free-form: their physical appearance, character traits, what they say and do, just not in paragraphs or official writing format.

6) If you can draw or play an instrument, do that.

7) Listen to music!
